The course covers the basic theoretical background of one-dimensional hydraulic modeling, model calibration, bridges and weirs, flood flow simulation and inundation mapping, flow separation, and simulation of unsteady flow.

CSCE is developing soft skills training programs. The training will concentrate on “soft” factors not currently part of the engineering academic curriculum such as communication, writing and presentation skills and leadership competencies. Our goal is to offer civil engineers tools that would complement their technical training and make a difference to their performance, development and growth.
Engineering Leadership Development
CSCE, in partnership with Engineer Leadership Coaching, conducted a survey on leadership development among our membership with a specific review of Young Professionals. A report on the results of the survey is available.
