CSCE MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES

CSCE Membership Categories is organized into the following 4 categories:

  1. Regular Members: Regular members include the former membership categories of Affiliate, Technologist, Fellow, International and Hong Kong members.
  2. Associate Members: Recent graduates from an accredited engineering program (including post-doctoral researchers). This membership category is applicable for a maximum of 4 years after graduation
  3. Graduate Student Members: Full-time Masters or PhD students (post-doctoral researchers are not eligible for this category) currently enrolled in an Engineering Program at a Canadian or International University
  4. Student Members: Full-time undergraduate students currently enrolled in an Engineering Program at a university in Canada ("Canadian Student") or outside of Canada ("International Student")
  5. Life Members: Members of distinction who have actively contributed to and been involved with the CSCE for at least 30 years and are at least 65 years of age.

Member Designations

  • Fellow: A CSCE Member who has been a member in good standing for a minimum of 5 years and has extensive career accomplishments. To become a Fellow of the CSCE, regular members meeting the criteria to become a Fellow may be nominated in accordance with the CSCE Annual Awards process.
  • Retired: Retired is designation for CSCE Regular Members in good standing who are no longer working full-time. Retired Members pay a discounted membership fee of $125.

Terms and Conditions

  • Membership Fees are for a calendar year and effective from January 1st through December 31st of each year. If you join (or renew) after January 1st, fees are not prorated.
  • Members who do not renew their membership dues by March 31st of each year will automatically be marked as inactive.
  • Inactive members can re-activate their membership by signing in to their CSCE account and clicking on the Join Now button (if you do not see a Join Now button, please contact [email protected] for further instructions).
  • Membership Fees are non-refundable.
