§ Continuing Professional Education opportunities: CSCE members are encouraged to submit their resumes to fill existing continuing education instructor positions.
§ Publishing Opportunities: Project and technical articles, networking news, technical activity reports and calls for papers as well as corporate and personal achievement items may be submitted to the Canadian Civil Engineer, plus members are also encouraged to submit scholarly papers to the Canadian Journal of Civil Engineering, (a referred technical journal devoted to civil engineering).
§ Links to other Engineering Societies: Preferred or discounted rates for CSCE members are available for those wishing membership in the Canadian Geotechnical Society (CGS), the Canadian Society for Engineering Management (CSEM), the Canadian Society for Mechanical Engineering (CSME) and the American Society for Civil Engineers (ASCE). CSCE members may benefit from the Agreement of Cooperation with engineering societies in more than 20 countries worldwide.
§ International Programs: Qualified members may volunteer their time for missions requiring specific expertise and experience. Past CIDA-sponsored programs have focused on sustainable development in Chinaand Pakistan, and on engineering accreditation in Jamaica. Members should submit their résumé accompanied by a letter detailing their availability and proposed goals.
§ Honours and Awards Program: Members who meet the criteria may be recognized by their peers with career and “best paper” awards, presented formally at the Annual Conference Awards Banquet.
